What Are You Doing This Weekend?

By Reporter, The HighLand Times, Thursday July 6 2017

You don’t know yet?

Can I make a suggestion?

You need to channel your inner Sheldon (we all have one) and get yourself over to NessCon at Eden Court Theatre.

Now, for all the boys and girls, mums and dads, aliens and other species out there who say, or in fact claim not to have an inner Sheldon, jeez, get over yourself and give it a go, nothing to lose and everything to gain.

It’s going to be awesome batman.

Inverness and Loch Ness Comic Con (NessCon) is the premier geek event in Highland Capital, Inverness.

Well it’s for geeks and non-geeks, I’m not a geek and I can’t wait, beam me up Scotty!

NessCon was created to fill a void for Highland Comic lovers and Sci-Fi fanatics, who normally have to drive 3+ hours to attend events like MCM Comic Con.

The goal and it’s a good one, is to bring together fans of all ages and types.

Whether you appreciate Comics, Star Trek, Star Wars, Outlander, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, or something else – there is something for you.

Created by Highland Heart Events, NessCon is led by Darrel, an experienced event planner with a passion for everything Comic.

Behind the scenes, there is a great team of volunteer’s ready to help put on an amazing convention.

NessCon will bring together fans of all sorts of interests, the local business community, local artists, and experts to teach panels, show off their wares at vendor booths, and share in the fun.

There are 50 businesses occupying booths, and 1,000 attendees to pack the Eden Court Theatre, Inverness over the 8th & 9th July 2017, between 10am and 6pm.

Go on, you know you want to.
