27-Year-Old From Liverpool Jailed for 8 Months for Dangerous Driving Offences

Following a vehicle pursuit in Inverness on 21st March 2022, a 27-year-old male from the Liverpool area has been convicted at Inverness Sheriff Court of driving dangerously, whilst disqualified and thereafter Attempting to Pervert the Course of Justice whereby he received an 8-month custodial sentence and an additional 24 month ban from driving.

PC McLauchlan from the Highland and Islands Road Policing Unit said:

“We welcome the conviction and sentencing of this male.

“Following the incident around public streets within Inverness, he did not only place himself in danger, but other members of the public and showed utter disregard for an already imposed driving ban.

“We, and our partners in the Criminal Justice System are committed to reducing road crime amongst our communities and preventing criminals from using the road network.”
