60th Anniversary of The Forth Road Bridge Marked by a Jim Clark Race Car Crossing

In 1964, vehicle crossings of the Firth of Forth commenced with the opening of the Forth Road Bridge and in the same year, Jim Clark, one of the greatest racing drivers of all time, won the British Saloon Car Championship in a Lotus Cortina.

This weekend, Knockhill are marking Jim’s amazing achievement with a parade of six of Jim’s competition cars on both Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th August.

3 times British Touring Car Champion led a parade across the Queensferry Crossing in an 2024 Alpine A110, and Jims cars from 1964 followed, marking the 60 years of crossing the Forth.

Race fans can see the Jim Clark cars at Knockhill at this weekends British Touring Car Championship at Knockhill Racing Circuit, by Dunfermline, with qualifying tomorrow, Saturday, and three races on Sunday 11th.
