Moray MP Douglas Ross says he is “delighted” to be undertaking a summer surgery tour across his constituency once again which starts next week.
Douglas’ annual tour around Moray’s towns and villages was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic, but is now returning over the next couple of weeks.
It will begin with a 9am surgery at Lhanbryde Community Centre on Monday 15th August and finish up on Friday August 26th at Carron Village Hall.
Douglas will undertake 45 surgeries in total and there is no need to make an appointment to come along and see him, with each surgery lasting 45 minutes.
He says that the current Parliamentary recess offers him the “perfect chance” to get out and about more in his constituency, including smaller communities and listen to the issues that are concerning local residents.
If you cannot one of the surgery dates advertised, then Douglas and his team are always available to be contacted at the constituency office in Forres or by emailing douglas.ross.mp@Parliament.uk
Moray MP Douglas Ross said:
“I’m delighted that my annual summer surgery tour across Moray is able to return this year.
“The Covid pandemic meant all MPs had to adapt in how we supported constituents, but there is simply no substitute for meeting local people or groups in person and discussing their issues face-to-face.
“The Parliamentary recess offers me a perfect chance to get out and about more in the constituency and visiting the many fantastic towns and villages right across the area.
“No appointments are necessary, meaning you can just turn up at the venue that is most convenient to you and raise any issues you have with me directly.
“I am always keen to ensure my summer surgery tour reaches as many communities as possible, which I think this years’ version achieves.
“However, if you are unable to attend one of the 45 surgeries I have planned over the next couple of weeks, then I can always be contacted by email or at my constituency office in Forres.
“I know that there will be a wide range of issues brought to me by constituents as I make my way across Moray and I look forward to meeting people over the next few weeks and taking up issues on their behalf.”
