A trio of acclaimed authors are set to headline this year’s Book Week Scotland celebrations in Moray, bringing stories, insight, and inspiration to local readers.

The week-long celebration will feature events in libraries across the region, each highlighting the depth and diversity of Scottish writing.

Jennifer Morag Henderson

It all begins on Monday 17 November at Forres Library, where celebrated biographer and local author Jennifer Morag Henderson will discuss her latest work, Jofrid Gunn, a poetic biography inspired by fragments of archival material from the Faroe Islands and Scotland.

The book reimagines the life of a 16th-century woman, weaving together themes of family, folklore, and clan conflict.

Jennifer said she is thrilled to be part of the programme.

“I’m delighted to have been invited to take part in Moray’s Book Week Scotland celebrations,” she said.

“It’s always a pleasure to meet readers and talk about the stories, people and places that inspire my writing.”

Known for his sharp dialogue and fast-paced storytelling, Harry said events like these are what make being a writer so rewarding.

“I’m very much looking forward to the event in Aberlour,” he said.

“Talking to readers is one of the most enjoyable parts of being a writer and I’m excited to share some behind-the-scenes insights into how the characters and stories come together.”
