Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious e-scooter crash in Inverness that left a man in hospital.

The incident happened at around 10.40pm on Tuesday 9 June on Grant Street at the junction with Lochalsh Road.

Emergency services attended following the single vehicle crash involving an e-scooter.

The rider, a 33 year old man, was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Scotland said his condition has been described as serious.

Officers are now carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash and are asking anyone who may have witnessed what happened to come forward.

The junction is located in a busy part of Inverness and police believe members of the public may have information that could assist the investigation.

Investigators are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident.

Sergeant Calum MacAulay said:

“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage which could assist our enquiries to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 3590 of Tuesday, 9 June, 2026.”

Police Scotland has reminded anyone who may have relevant footage or information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to get in touch.

Officers hope information from witnesses, motorists or nearby residents will help establish exactly what happened before the crash occurred.

Enquiries remain ongoing.
