Police Scotland is appealing for information following a serious crash involving a car and a pedestrian on the A82 at Bridge of Oich.

The incident happened at around 2.30pm on Sunday, the 4th of January 2026, and involved a black Volkswagen Golf and a 44 year old woman.

Emergency services attended the scene and the pedestrian was taken by air ambulance to Raigmore Hospital, where she is being treated for what police have described as serious injuries.

The A82 was closed for several hours to allow officers to carry out enquiries and for the scene to be made safe.

The road reopened at around 8.30pm on the Sunday evening.

Police are now asking for help from anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who was travelling on the A82 in the area at the time.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to drivers who may have dash cam footage which could assist the investigation.

Chris Donaldson said enquiries are ongoing.

“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened and haven’t already spoken to officers.

“If you were driving in the area at the time, please also check any dash cam footage you have and get in touch if you have captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”

Police Scotland has urged anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 1560 of the 4th of January 2026.
