Aspen Spa, local luxury boutique day spa, opened the doors to its new location in Dornoch on Saturday 31st August.
Aspen Spa, which also has a long-established location in Tain, previously operated from the Carnegie Courthouse, Dornoch, before purchasing the Old Post Office building last year.
Maintaining the character of the much-admired property, the downstairs of the building has been transformed into an elegant space with three treatment rooms, two nail areas and a sauna room.
There is also an inviting spa shop with a carefully selected range of skincare, personal care, make up, swimwear, and gifts.
The upstairs of the building will soon be available for overnight stays for guests looking for a residential spa retreat.
Mother Gwen Cameron, with her daughters Lee-Ann Cameron and Dawn MacGregor started Aspen Spa 17 years ago and over the years have built the business and expanded to meet the growing demand for spa and wellness treatments and facilities.
With expertise in golf and sports massage, Aspen Spa is a favourite among the many golfers in Dornoch and for those less keen on the golf course, a haven of calm for a specialist facial, body scrub, nail treatment or reflexology session.
Owner and spa therapist Dawn MacGregor said:
“Consumers are prioritising health and wellness more and more these days so it’s wonderful to be able to offer our wide range of spa treatments and beauty expertise to Dornoch and the surrounding areas.”
The business employs ten staff and with the new space are looking to add to their team of highly skilled spa therapists and expand the range of services.
The well-established Aspen Medi-Spa aesthetics clinic will also operate from the new location in Dornoch with their resident doctor.
Owner Lee-Ann Cameron said of the new venture:

With this milestone realised the family are turning their focus to the ongoing expansion of Aspen Spa Tain, with new facilities set to be available in the Autumn.
