Equipped with two powerful electric motors generating 380 kW of combined output, this prototype can tackle gradients of up to 100% thanks to newly designed portal axles, making it a game-changer for electric offroaders.

The concept’s dramatic design is enhanced by an impressive increase of 160 mm in ride height and a widened track of 250 mm, resulting in a commanding and spectacular presence.

Audi CEO Gernot Döllner described the vehicle as a “highly emotive reinterpretation of quattro,” adding:

“This vehicle demonstrates the immense capability of our electric vehicle platform and how it can conquer new challenges.

“We’re eager to see how our customers respond to this exciting concept.”

The Q6 e-tron offroad concept boasts innovative engineering, including four custom-developed portal axles integrated directly into the wheel hub assemblies.

These axles increase torque at the wheels by 50%, giving the car unparalleled climbing ability on gradients of up to 45 degrees.

While this design lowers the top speed to 175 km/h (108 mph), it prioritises power and precision for rugged terrains, embodying Vorsprung durch Technik both on and off the road.

The Q6 e-tron, which serves as the foundation for this concept, is the first production model built on Audi’s PPE platform.

This groundbreaking platform sets new benchmarks for electric performance, range, and efficiency, showcasing Audi’s commitment to driving innovation.

Beyond its technical prowess, the Q6 e-tron offroad concept is a visual statement, embodying the question at the heart of its creation: how can Audi create a deeply emotive electric vehicle?

The result is a bold fusion of capability and aesthetics designed to claim new ground in the offroad segment.

Audi’s engineers have also fine-tuned the suspension to integrate the advanced portal axles, boosting the combined torque at all wheels to a staggering 13,400 Nm.

This represents a significant leap forward in offroad performance and highlights the engineering expertise driving the brand.

The Q6 e-tron offroad concept will make its public debut on February 1, 2025, at the prestigious F.A.T. Ice Race.

Enthusiasts can also catch it in action on Audi Sport’s social media channels, where its groundbreaking capabilities will be on full display.

With the Q6 e-tron offroad concept, Audi has set the stage for a new era of electric offroading, blending cutting-edge technology with the brand’s unmistakable spirit of innovation.
