The B863 Glencoe–Kinlochleven road in Lochaber, which has been closed since the middle of June due to a major debris flow, will reopen to traffic this Friday (21 July) at 5pm.
The impact of the landslip was significant with hundreds of tonnes of material sliding down the hillside causing damage to the road and a small bridge.
The Council can confirm that work to repair the recent landslip damage have gone well and the road will re-open to single lane traffic under traffic light control at 5pm on Friday 21 July.
Although the route will be open to all traffic, the final work to rebuild the parapets, install safety fencing and complete the surfacing will be completed later this summer.
