BBC ALBA is to show live coverage of two shinty showpieces later in June as four teams battle it out for glory.

The highly-anticipated MacTavish Cup Final between Kingussie and Caberfeidh will be televised live on the channel on Saturday June 11.

Live coverage of the game starts at 4pm as Bught Park, Inverness plays host to the clash with Kingussie looking to go one step further than last year after they lost out to Kinlochshiel.

While Kingussie are prolific winners, Caberfeidh haven’t had their hands on the cup in 85 years – last lifting the trophy in 1937.

Presenter Michael Steele introduces the action, with commentary from Hugh Dan MacLennan.

BBC ALBA will also screen the Glasgow Celtic Society Cup Final between Glasgow Mid-Argyll and Kyles Athletic on Saturday June 25.

Live coverage, once again, begins at 4pm as holders Kyles Athletic look to defend their crown at Peterson Park, Glasgow.

The final is being held in its namesake city for the first time since 2010 and sees Mid-Argyll playing in their first Challenge Cup Final in 35 years.

The match will be presented by Calum MacAulay, with Hugh Dan MacLennan providing commentary once more.

Both shinty cup finals will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer for 30 days afterwards.

BBC ALBA is available on the following platforms:
