Fort George opens its doors today to a burst of colour and imagination as a new exhibition built from 500,000 LEGO bricks invites visitors to see the world in miniature.
Brick Wonders arrives at the historic fortress near Inverness from 2 December and brings together creations from every corner of the globe, all crafted by artist Warren Elsmore and his team.

Visitors can wander from the ancient world to the present day in a single walk, with scenes that capture the building of the pyramids, the Grand Canyon, the International Space Station, Old London Bridge and the shimmering Aurora Australis.
Claire Whitbread, Exhibitions Manager at Historic Environment Scotland, said:
“We’re thrilled to be welcoming Brick Wonders to Fort George.
“Here at Historic Environment Scotland, we’re passionate about exploring new ways to engage with our heritage, encouraging visitors to see the past in a new light.
“This exhibition gives people the exciting opportunity to explore history through the wonderful world of LEGO bricks.”
Warren Elsmore said:

Brick Wonders will run on selected dates from 2 December 2025 until 20 February 2026, giving families and visitors plenty of time to explore one of the most playful exhibitions the fort has ever hosted.
