Bridge Street, Castle Street and Castle Road will revert to 2-way traffic from the evening of Monday 15 November 2021.
Vehicles will no longer be permitted to turn Right from Castle Road to Bridge Street under the 2-Way operation.
This move follows the decision taken at the last Inverness City Committee to remove the Spaces for People one-way around the castle.
Following that decision Highland Council was required to arrange and schedule the alterations to the traffic signals. Officers highlighted then that the work could take some time.
Every effort has been expended to bring this forward and this work has allowed traffic to revert to 2-way.
Some restrictions will remain in place on Castle Street to allow the building construction work currently ongoing until Spring 2022.
Some elements of these works are weather sensitive so may require an amended timetable.
