The SPFL has confirmed that Inverness Caledonian Thistle will face Raith Rovers in the 2025 26 KDM Evolution Trophy final at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill on Sunday 5 April at 4.10pm.
The match will be shown live on BBC ALBA as the competition concludes its first season under title sponsor KDM Group.
The final marks the first under the new format of the KDM Evolution Trophy and brings together two sides with strong recent records in the competition.
SPFL group chief executive Neil Doncaster said:
“We would like to congratulate both Raith Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle on reaching the KDM Evolution Trophy final, which will be broadcast live on BBC ALBA.
“It promises to be a closely-contested game as both teams compete to be the first winners of our impressive new trophy.
“We would also like to thank Partick Thistle for their assistance in hosting the final and look forward to what I’m sure will be a great occasion at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill.”
Inverness Caledonian Thistle began their journey in August and came through six matches to top the league phase with a 100% record.
Scott Kellacher’s William Hill League 1 leaders also defeated Championship sides Partick Thistle and Ayr United away from home as they target a fourth title in the competition.
Raith Rovers are appearing in their third final in five seasons and are also chasing a fourth triumph.
Dougie Imrie’s side defeated Hamilton Academical and Queen of the South before overcoming Queen’s Park and Airdrieonians on penalties to secure their place in the showpiece match.
The fixture is also a repeat of the 2019 20 final, which was never played because of the Covid pandemic, with both clubs ultimately sharing the trophy.
This season an estimated £1.25 million in prize money will have been distributed among participating clubs, an increase of more than 50% on last year.
The winners on 5 April will receive £150,000, with the runners up collecting £100,000.
Full ticket details for the final are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
For supporters in Inverness and beyond, it offers a chance to see Caley Thistle compete for silverware once again on a national stage.
