Over the past 3 months the Camanachd Association has been working to evolve their digital presence through www.shinty.com.
They have launched their new website which has a range of new features including a “ClubHub” which is set to be the hub of information for shinty clubs across the country.
The website, which was grant funded by the Digital Boost Fund, is unquestionably a vast improvement from the old shinty.com and has revolutionised the site both in terms of aesthetics and indeed functionality.
The “Club Hub” is a space where each shinty club has a presence on shinty.com, volunteers from each club will be able to update their information including adding match reports, fundraising activities and more.
This development means that information from every club can be housed in a central location, allowing us to deliver the shinty that matters to members, clubs & fans.
Aarron Duncan-MacLeod, Camanachd Association Marketing & Communications Officer said:
“I couldn’t be happier with the final product, it is testament to the commitment and effort of Lateral North who have worked incredibly hard on this project to deliver a shinty.com that we can all be proud of.
“My thanks also go to Communications Directors John Finlayson & Roddie McCuish for their support throughout.
“I look forward to working with the clubs to get them trained up on how to upload their news onto shinty.com so that they are able to showcase the amazing work that is going on the length and breadth of the country.”
Andy Behan, Lateral North said:
“It has been a real pleasure working with the Camanachd Association to develop a website which celebrates the rich heritage of its clubs.
“We believe the website can be a great resource and sharing platform for these clubs whilst continuing to be a crucial hub of practical information on the sport.”
