An online festival with a European twist featuring music, beer and bratwurst.

Graeme Mackay (pictured) is an accordionist, most popularly known as a member of the band Tweed.

He has found himself at a loss during the lockdown with all the gigs and events for the summer being cancelled.

After a couple of live shows from his summer house in the back garden, he started a Facebook page and website calling it The Ceilidh Cabin.

He now does regular shows and has had themes like well-dressed Saturdays and a Jimmy Shand Special, of which the Shand material is now being made into an album as we speak so watch this space!

The concerts have attracted interest all over the world and have reached 160k people and gathered over 2000 followers in just a few weeks.

People enjoying the concerts have also given generously to the fund to help Graeme through this tough economical time.

After several requests for some European tunes, he has organised an event on the 25th April called “Loktoberfest” which will be an online celebration of all things related to German beer & food.

Sing songs will be arranged and local pubs who are doing deliveries are being welcomed take part and supply what is necessary for folk to have a bit of fun on a Saturday afternoon during the lockdown.
