Chair of the Highland Council’s Housing and Property Committee, Glynis Campbell Sinclair, welcomed the Scottish Government’s announcement of £750m for affordable homes with 10% to be built in island and rural communities as part of their Programme for Government.
She said:
“Many of our rural and island communities are facing a housing crisis.
“Providing and enabling new or redeveloped affordable homes is a key priority in our Council’s Programme.
“Good quality, accessible and affordable housing is fundamental to the economic growth and sustainability of our communities.”
