Lidl Inverness will host the retailer’s world-first ‘Checkout Comedy’ experience with Gary: Tank Commander this week – and there’s a chance for 50 super fans to get their hands on a limited edition box of cheesy pasta signed by the comedy legend.
A world-first, totally free listening experience, Checkout Comedy sees an exclusive audio monologue of the nation’s favourite Scots squaddie’s shopping mission rolled out in Lidl stores via wear-while-you-shop bluetooth headphones.
Well-kent for his Bafta award-winning BBC1 sitcom, Scottish actor and writer Greg McHugh reprises his role as Gary McLintoch exclusively for Lidl in Inverness and Dundee stores this August.
This pre-recorded 15 min audio event promises to add 100% more laughs to the weekly shop as Gary offers his take on the trials, tribulations and ‘radge’ wee quirks of going to the supermarket.
Checkout Comedy will be available between 10am-8pm each day at Lidl Inverness, 77 Telford St, Inverness, IV3 5LU.
