Primary school children in Moray have the opportunity to become Wild World Heroes this summer as they embrace reading for pleasure.

The Summer Reading Challenge 2021, ‘Wild World Heroes’, is a celebration of reading, nature and action for the environment.

Developed by The Reading Agency in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading independent conservation organisation, Wild World Heroes is set to inspire children to stand up for the future of our planet.

Children who register need to borrow six library books over the summer period and keep a record of them as they go.

Throughout the challenge they’ll receive special stickers to complete their collector’s card, with other small rewards up for grabs along the way!

Libraries across Moray are proud to offer a vast array of different books for children of all ages and abilities.

Any library book on any subject can be borrowed and used to complete the challenge.

A number of puzzles and activities will also be available for children to enjoy throughout the summer period in all Moray Council libraries.

Children can register to take part from the start of the school holidays and have until 28 August to complete the challenge.

More information can be found on The Reading Agency’s website here.
