Comedy Theatre Hit Ward 10 Heads To Eden Court This April

A fast paced comedy theatre show packed with medical drama and sharp humour is heading to Eden Court in Inverness on the 30th of April.

General Medical Emergency Ward 10 brings together award winning Dyad Productions and Company Gavin Robertson in a new collaboration that promises a lively and familiar take on hospital life.

The production is a playful homage to the classic doctors and nurses dramas that have filled television screens for decades, reimagining them as a high energy comedy on stage.

Audiences can expect a whirlwind of recognisable moments and exaggerated storylines, drawing inspiration from shows such as Holby City, Casualty, ER and Doctors.

At the centre of the story is Dr Ann Fleming on her first day at St David’s, guided by her rather ominously named mentor Dr Death, as chaos unfolds around an overstretched hospital team.

The show blends physical theatre, storytelling and humour, with performers Rebecca Vaughan, Gavin Robertson and Andrew Margerison bringing multiple characters and scenes to life.

The result is a comedy built on familiar clichés, quick transitions and sharp delivery, designed to keep audiences laughing from start to finish.

Dyad Productions has built a strong reputation for its touring work across the UK and internationally, with acclaimed productions including Austen’s Women, A Christmas Carol and A Room of One’s Own.

Company Gavin Robertson is equally well known for its distinctive physical theatre style, with productions such as Done to Death by Jove and The Ghost of a Smile earning critical praise.

Together, the companies bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record of engaging audiences across a wide range of venues and festivals.

The show has already attracted strong reviews, with critics praising both the quality of performance and the energy of the production.

One review described the work as a must see, while another highlighted the compelling stage presence of the performers.

General Medical Emergency Ward 10 offers a fresh and entertaining take on a familiar genre, turning medical drama into comedy through clever writing and performance.

The show arrives at Eden Court for one night only, giving Highland audiences the chance to experience a production that has already found success on stages across the UK.

General Medical Emergency Ward 10 will be performed at Eden Court in Inverness on the 30th of April, bringing a lively comedy twist to the world of hospital drama.
