The Strathpeffer Pavilion Community Trust will take over the day to day running of Strathpeffer Pavilion from High Life Highland on 31st of March 2026.

High Life Highland has managed the historic venue since 2017 and has worked in partnership with the Trust under a subcontracted management agreement since 2020.

During that period, the Trust secured funding which enabled the community to take full ownership of the building.

After eight years of operation, the Trust has decided the time is right to assume complete responsibility for management as the venue enters what it describes as a new community led era.

Graeme Ross, Head of Leisure at High Life Highland, said:

“High Life Highland is privileged to have been involved in the management of such an historic venue as the Strathpeffer Pavilion for the last eight years.

“Our teams have worked hard to enhance the venue’s reputation as an iconic location for weddings, functions and concerts with many big acts and sell-out crowds witnessed during that time.

“However, we always understood this was never High Life Highland’s venue and we were helping to look after it for the Trust, it was always the understanding that at some point, they would take over operations and build on that success.

“That day has now come.

“High Life Highland is handing over a healthy order book to the Trust and we wish it and the wider community every success for the future.”

A spokesperson for Strathpeffer Pavilion Community Trust said:

“The five year partnership with High Life Highland has seen us jointly develop Strathpeffer Pavilion into a well respected music, community and wedding events venue.

“Now, after careful consideration, SPCT feels it is time to take direct control of the Pavilion’s operations, placing the community firmly at the helm as the venue enters a new, community-led era.

“SPCT would like to place on record its sincere thanks to High Life Highland for the commitment, professionalism, and care shown in operating the Pavilion on behalf of the Trust and the community.

“This contribution has helped stabilise and strengthen the venue during a crucial period in its history and has allowed time for SPCT to develop and be fully confident to now take this next important step.”

All existing bookings will remain in place and both organisations have said they are focused on ensuring a smooth transition.

The Pavilion has built a strong reputation as a venue for weddings, concerts and community events in recent years.
