One of Scotland’s fastest rising comedy stars is taking over Eden Court this week as Connor Burns brings his brand new show Gallus to Inverness from 20 to 23 January.

The run sees Connor Burns perform at Eden Court, with tickets still available for audiences quick enough to grab them.

Gallus is Burns’ fourth solo show and delivers a fiercely funny hour built on razor sharp wit, jet black cynicism, and the kind of fearless honesty that has made him one of the most talked about comics of his generation.

The title comes straight from the Scottish soul, with gallus meaning bold, daring, and reckless, a definition Burns wears with pride on stage.

“Scots have a failsafe way of making sure their kin don’t get too full of themselves, they cut them down to size at every opportunity,” Burns said.

“But if an outsider was to attack you they’d defend you to the death.

“As a Scottish comedian I dance on that razor of wanting to blow up the room, but always checking over my shoulder to see if I might just be getting too cocky.”

Burns follows the runaway success of his previous show 1994, which sold more than 10,000 tickets in his Edinburgh hometown and sold out its entire Fringe run before demand led to extra shows and four additional nights at the Royal Lyceum Theatre.

The show also sold out two nights at The King’s Theatre during the Glasgow International Comedy Festival before touring across the UK, Europe, and Australia.

A prolific joke writer, Burns combines lightning fast delivery with a distinctly Scottish edge to create high velocity comedy packed with punchlines and bite.

His rise has also seen him support Daniel Sloss across three continents, close the Sydney Comedy Festival Gala at the Opera House, and perform an off Broadway run during the New York Comedy Festival.

Burns is now a major force online and a two time winner of the international Fringe Encore Series in 2024 and 2025.

His stand up special Vertigo is set for worldwide release in July on the prestigious 800lb Gorilla comedy label.

With critics calling him fearless, gifted, and utterly authentic, Gallus promises a huge night of laughter from a comic at the absolute top of his game.
