Staff from The Highland Council have raised more than £1,600 for Highland Hospice following a festive fundraising effort at the end of 2025.
The donation was handed over during a recent visit by Council staff to the hospice after a special seasonal fundraising day held at the Council’s final meeting of the year.
Council staff organised a Christmas bake sale, offering a wide range of homemade treats to colleagues and councillors.
Alongside the bake sale, a charity raffle was held with prizes generously donated, drawing strong support from across the chamber.
The combined efforts raised a total of £1,640 for Highland Hospice.
Will Macrae, Digital Fundraiser at Highland Hospice, thanked staff for their generosity.
“We’re so grateful to The Highland Council team for their amazing £1,640 Christmas fundraiser.
“Your support truly makes a real difference to Highland Hospice.”
The fundraising day was organised by Council staff including Rosemary MacRae and Eve Carnson, who helped coordinate the event and encourage participation.
The donation will support the hospice’s ongoing work providing specialist care and support to patients and families across the Highlands.
