To ensure a continuity of service, The Highland Council’s In-House bus service has stepped in to fill a gap in provision on the Black Isle following the withdrawal of daytime Ferintosh Wee Bus services.

Chair of the Council’s Economy and Infrastructure Committee, Cllr Ken Gowans said:

“Community Support and Information, Ross-shire (CSIR) have sadly made the difficult decision to withdraw from delivery of daytime journeys for the Ferintosh Wee Bus.

“However, I’m delighted to announce that our In-House bus team have stepped in to provide a scheduled day-time service to support the communities affected.

The timetabled service will take passengers between Culbokie and Tore Services so they can connect to Stagecoach services travelling North and South along the A9.

As this is a timetabled service, bookings are not required.

The timetable for Service 404 is available on the Council’s website

Cllr Gowans added:

“Our team have stepped in on a temporary basis while further discussions with the local community take place.

“They encourage members of the community to contact them with any questions or concerns, and we look forward to the next chapter in the journey for all involved.”
