Intermittent road closures are set for the A862 at Ballindoun, near Beauly, on Thursday afternoon as police carry out further crash investigation work.
The closures, expected to begin around 3.30pm on 4 September, will affect traffic at the junction for the A833 towards Kiltarlity and are likely to last for about an hour.
The police presence relates to a fatal crash that occurred on Saturday, 17 May 2025, involving a black Mazda CX5 and two Yamaha MT07 motorcycles.
One of the motorcyclists, a 67-year-old man, later died at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Tuesday, 20 May.
The driver of the Mazda, a 47-year-old man, was arrested at the time in connection with road traffic offences.
He was released while further enquiries continue.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said the work was a necessary step in the investigation:
“We appreciate the public’s patience during this short disruption.
“These investigations are vital to establishing the full circumstances of what happened.”
Local drivers are advised to plan ahead or consider alternative routes during the short closure period.
Police have apologised in advance for any delays and thanked road users for their understanding.
