Three newly refurbished retail units are now available to lease in the heart of Dingwall, marking a major step forward in the town’s High Street regeneration.
Located in the former Highland Council Service Point and the former Edinburgh Woollen Mill premises, the units have undergone a full transformation by Graham MacGregor Joinery & Building Contractor.
The result is three energy-efficient retail spaces, each with an EPC rating of A, now available to let with rents starting at £8,000 per year.
It’s hoped the units will attract a mix of new and growing businesses to the town centre, offering affordable, sustainable premises with strong street visibility.
The project is part of the Highland Council’s broader Highland Investment Plan, which aims to revitalise town centres across the region and repurpose existing assets.
Cllr Glynis Campbell Sinclair, Chair of the Housing and Property Committee, said the new units are designed to support both economic growth and sustainability.
“These three new properties provide a community asset and will contribute to the great amount of work being delivered to help grow our Highland economy, repurpose our assets, and improve the appearance of our High Streets,” she said.
“With sustainable and energy efficient properties at an affordable rental price point, this is a great opportunity for local enterprise.”
The refurbishment has created a flexible layout suitable for a range of uses, and it’s expected that some tenants may qualify for Small Business Rates Relief.
Dingwall and Seaforth Committee Chair, Cllr Graham MacKenzie, said he hoped the new spaces would help breathe life back into the High Street.
“A number of businesses have vacated the High Street over recent years,” he said.
“I’m sure these new units will help with regeneration and make the heart of the town a bustling centre once more.”
Cllrs Graham MacKenzie, Angela MacLean and Sean Kennedy recently toured the refurbished property and expressed their optimism for new tenants arriving soon.
The units are now available to lease.
