Drew Hendry MP has today written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt MP, to voice concerns regarding the UK’s inflation rate and ever-rising food prices.
The letter can be found on Mr Hendry’s website here: https://www.drewhendrymp.scot/letter-to-the-chancellor-of-the-exchequer-regarding-inflation-rate-and-rising-food-costs/
Commenting, Drew Hendry MP said:
“Despite the headlines, the Cost of Living crisis is not over – it’s escalating.
“The rapid rise in food prices, the highest in 45 years, and the persisting energy crisis tell a different story.
“This is not about statistics.
“It’s about people’s lives.
“It’s about the family who can no longer afford fresh fruits and vegetables, the pensioner who has to choose between heating and eating, and the hard-working individuals who deserve a government that fights for them, not against them.
“This isn’t stability, this is chaos, and people deserve better.”
