Ducati Takes its Racing Heritage into a New Generation of Bicycles

Ducati is bringing its unmistakable racing heritage to the world of cycling with a new generation of road, gravel and electric mountain bikes designed for riders who take their adventures seriously.

The Italian manufacturer unveiled its 2027 collection in September, and the new range is now available to order through specialist retailers, Ducati dealers and online.

Developed in partnership with Gruppo Zecchetto, the collection represents an ambitious expansion of Ducati’s cycling business, combining lightweight carbon construction with advanced engineering and distinctive Italian design.

Four models form the range, each aimed at a different type of rider, from road cyclists chasing speed to mountain bikers tackling demanding terrain.

The Monoscocca is Ducati’s dedicated road racing machine, built around a lightweight carbon fibre frame designed to balance aerodynamic efficiency, responsiveness and comfort.

Available in R and RR versions, it features premium Shimano electronic drivetrains and carefully integrated components intended to improve performance without sacrificing everyday versatility.

The flagship Monoscocca RR weighs a claimed 7.18kg in medium size without pedals, putting it firmly in the territory of serious performance road bikes.

For riders who prefer their adventures beyond the tarmac, the GraviaX offers a different approach.

This carbon fibre gravel bike combines road cycling efficiency with the freedom to explore forest tracks, gravel roads and longer adventures.

With clearance for tyres up to 50mm, integrated storage and mounting points for luggage, it has been designed to accommodate everything from fast weekend rides to extended cycling journeys.

The GraviaX R weighs a claimed 8.2kg without pedals and comes equipped with SRAM Force XPLR AXS electronic shifting.

But it is Ducati’s new electric mountain bike collection that may attract the greatest attention from riders who enjoy challenging trails.

The DM-160 R and DM-170 RR share a carbon fibre platform and the powerful new Avinox M2S electric motor.

Delivering up to 1,300 watts of power and 130Nm of torque, rising to 150Nm in Boost mode, the system promises considerable assistance when tackling steep climbs and difficult terrain.

Both models feature an 800Wh battery, integrated GPS, an eSIM and adjustable riding characteristics that allow owners to tailor the bikes to different conditions.

The DM-160 R uses 29 inch wheels and 160mm front suspension travel, making it suitable for demanding trail riding where climbing efficiency and control matter.

Its more aggressive sibling, the DM-170 RR, features 170mm front suspension travel, premium Öhlins suspension and a smaller rear wheel designed to improve agility on technical descents.

Ducati has also drawn on the experience of professional cyclists including Vincenzo Nibali, Elia Viviani and Alessandro Petacchi during development and testing.

The collection brings together the manufacturer’s sporting identity and the technical expertise of an established Italian cycling group.

For riders looking beyond conventional bicycle brands, Ducati is offering something familiar from its motorcycle business: performance, engineering and a distinctive sense of character.

The 2027 range is available to order through authorised retailers and the Ducati cycling website
