Ducati has lifted the curtain on its most powerful production bike yet, the new Panigale V4 R bringing MotoGP-derived technology to everyday riders in a machine designed to blur the line between the track and the road.
Launched as part of the Ducati World Première 2026 series, the V4 R is powered by the latest evolution of the 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine, delivering a staggering 218 horsepower in road-legal trim.
With the racing exhaust fitted, that figure jumps to 235 hp and 239 hp with Ducati Corse oil, pushing the top speed beyond 330 km/h.

Built for homologation in the World Superbike Championship, the Panigale V4 R features technical advances straight from Ducati Corse, including aerodynamic corner sidepods and a MotoGP-style gearbox with neutral below first gear, a first for a production motorcycle.
Each model will be part of a numbered series, stamped with its name and serial number on the steering plate, honouring Ducati’s racing heritage dating back to the iconic 996R of 2001.
The engine, capable of revving to 16,500 rpm, delivers more torque across the rev range than its predecessor, with gains of 7% at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 114.5 Nm at 12,000 rpm.

Even while meeting tough Euro 5+ emissions standards, Ducati has kept performance front and centre, using lighter pistons, a redesigned crankshaft, and updated intake systems.
The V4 R’s aerodynamic design borrows heavily from the track, with larger wings delivering 25% more downforce than before, 6 kg at 300 km/h increasing grip, cornering speed, and stability under acceleration.
It also features a new dynamic air intake system, Öhlins suspension tuned for the latest slick tyres, and a Brembo braking setup using Hypure calipers paired with 330 mm discs for extreme stopping power.
Electronics have taken a leap forward too.
Ducati’s latest Race Brake Control and engine braking systems are designed to emulate the precision of professional riders, while a 6.9” full-TFT display shows live grip data and track-focused metrics.
Customisation is available via Ducati’s configurator, with a full range of performance accessories including carbon wheels, racing fairings, and software developed by Ducati Corse.
The Panigale V4 R arrives in European dealerships this November, with global markets to follow.
For many, it’s more than a motorcycle, it’s the closest thing to MotoGP ownership the public has ever seen.
