The blockbuster success of a new video game, produced in Elgin, has been celebrated in the UK Parliament.

In an Early Day Motion, local MP Graham Leadbitter congratulated Elgin-based studio, Hunted Cow, for the chart-topping success of their latest game ‘Godzilla X Kong: Titan Chasers’.

The game, which is also available on Android and Google Play, quickly rose to the top of the iOS free games chart shortly after its February 25th release.

Commenting, Moray West, Nairn and Strathspey MP, and SNP spokesperson for Technology, Graham Leadbitter said:

“This is a remarkable achievement for a local games studio with a great track record.

“Hunted Cow are an iconic local success story, so I was more than happy to table a motion in parliament reflecting the pride the town has for their team and their accomplishment.

“Their success is not just testament to Scotland’s world-class video games industry, and a big win for the area, but is proof that that Elgin can compete with anywhere on anything.

“I wish them all the best for the future and can’t wait to see what they come up with next.”
