Something extraordinary is heading for Ullapool this May, and it’s not just the sea breeze kicking up along the loch.

The Far Norse Custom Classic Show will take over Ullapool promenade on Saturday 17th May, bringing with it a celebration of bikes, music, and community spirit like no other.

Running from 12 noon to 5pm, the event is free to attend and open to all, promising a day packed with character, chrome, and Highland hospitality.

Organised by Malcs and Donna of the Bike Repair Centre in Muir of Ord, alongside Calum Macrae of the Federals Band, the show was born from their deep love for custom bikes and their desire to give something back to the biking community.

Over 50 bikes are already confirmed, with ten show categories and prize money up for grabs in each, as well as a public vote for Best in Show.

This is the first time a custom bike show of this kind has been held in Ullapool, thanks to the support of Ullapool Harbour Trust and a team of passionate volunteers.

The organisers felt Highland bikers deserved something new, exciting, and closer to home, instead of having to head south to find it.

Live bands will perform throughout the afternoon, turning the waterfront into a festival of sound, engines, and shared stories.

A charity dance will be held at night, and all proceeds will go to the Dolphin Trust, supporting essential work in the local area.

A tombola on the day will raise funds for the James Support Group, with brilliant prizes to be won and every ticket making a difference.

There will also be community stalls including the Air Ambulance, Blood Bikes, Sea Savers, and the Dolphin Trust providing teas and coffees.

The nearby village hall will host a craft fayre, offering visitors even more to explore as they enjoy the atmosphere and the view.

Ullapool’s reputation as a destination for great food, stunning scenery, and warm welcomes only adds to the appeal.

This show is more than just bikes—it’s a gathering of people who care, who build, who ride, and who want to share that joy with others.

It’s open to everyone, whether you’re a seasoned rider or someone who just loves a good day out.

Far Norse is about celebrating the best of the north, with a uniquely Highland mix of character and charm.

Bikes will shine, music will play, and Ullapool will be alive with laughter, friendship, and horsepower.

This is one for the calendar, the camera, and the heart—don’t miss it.
