Free Family Fun Day Brings an Afternoon of Entertainment to Eden Court

Families looking for something to do in Inverness this weekend can enjoy an entire afternoon of free entertainment as Eden Court’s annual Family Fun Day returns on Saturday 8 August.

The fun begins on the lawn at 1pm and continues until 6pm, with five hours of activities planned as part of Eden Court’s Music Under Canvas programme.

Things get underway with Circus Celebration at 1pm, an interactive children’s show offering a lively start to the afternoon before party games begin at 2.30pm.

At 3.15pm it is time for a dance party, followed at 4pm by live music from Highland musician Liam Ross, before bingo rounds off the scheduled entertainment at 5pm.

There will be plenty happening between the main events too, with a bouncy castle alongside dedicated story and music corners for younger visitors.

Families will also be able to try green screen activities, while the Scottish Wildlife Trust will be leading wildlife walks and giving children another way to explore and enjoy the afternoon.

The annual event is designed as a relaxed day for families to drop into and enjoy at their own pace, with all of the activities taking place around Eden Court’s outdoor Under Canvas setting.

Packed lunches and party snacks will also be available during the afternoon for anyone planning to settle in and make a day of it.

Best of all for families during the summer holidays, the entire Family Fun Day is free to attend, so there is no need to buy tickets for the activities.

Eden Court’s Family Fun Day takes place Under Canvas on Saturday 8 August from 1pm until 6pm, with families welcome to come along and join the fun throughout the afternoon.
