Businesses across Argyll and Bute are being offered free, practical online support through a wide programme of expert led webinars delivered by Business Gateway, aimed at helping local firms start, survive and grow in a challenging economic climate.

The online sessions cover the everyday realities of running a modern business, from digital marketing and selling online in 2026 to book keeping, skills development and practical operational support, all delivered in an accessible format that fits around busy working lives.

The webinars are open to businesses at every stage, whether someone is taking their first steps into self employment or running an established company and looking to sharpen skills, explore new opportunities or adapt to changing markets.

Councillor Math Campbell-Sturgess, Argyll and Bute Council’s Policy Lead for Business Development, said the demand for the sessions shows just how valuable accessible support has become for local enterprises.

He said: “We are committed to helping businesses in Argyll and Bute to thrive, and these webinars bring practical advice and expert knowledge straight to people’s screens, making support more accessible than ever.

“Last year, 550 businesses in Argyll and Bute benefited from these sessions, and 308 have already taken part so far this year, which shows just how useful they are to people trying to build and sustain their livelihoods.”

Alongside the live webinars, businesses can also access a growing library of online video tutorials and podcasts through Business Gateway, offering ongoing support whenever it is needed.

A full schedule of upcoming webinars and details on how to register are available through the Business Gateway website, with additional support available from the Argyll and Bute Council Business Gateway team by email at business.gateway@argyll-bute.gov.uk.
