Highland Fine Cheeses experiences un-brie-lievable success this Christmas with new digital offering.

A Highland cheesemaker has experienced new levels of success after adding an online sales element to its business this festive season.

In an effort to aid social distancing measures, Highland Fine Cheeses launched a new online webstore for local residents to order click and collect festive cheese boxes.

By handling all transactions online, contact between staff and customers has been reduced as there is no requirement to handle money and boxes can be delivered straight to customers’ cars.

And the scheme has been so successful that the firm has been forced to extend its offering due to the overwhelming demand.

Head cheesemaker Rory Stone said:

“Bringing this side of our business online has been a completely new experience for us, and we’ve been bowled over by everyone’s enthusiasm.

“We were due to end our cheese box production on December 21 but have decided to extend this for another couple of days to allow as many people as possible to collect their cheese before Christmas.

“The support we’ve received this year from across the Highlands has been, quite frankly, astonishing.

“I’m very grateful to all those who have continued to support us, independent food producers and other local businesses throughout 2020 – it’s been a real boost in what has been such an unpredictable year.

“It’s true that the Blitz spirit is still alive in our Highland communities.”

Due to incredible demand, Highland Fine Cheeses’ festive boxes are now available to click and collect until Wednesday, December 23.

Each box features eight delicious cheeses, including the company’s famous Fat Cow and Minger.

Cheese boxes costing £20 each can be ordered at www.hf-cheeses.com with collection from the firm’s office in Tain.
