Police are appealing for information after two youths were injured during a disturbance in Dingwall following the Ross County v Raith Rovers match on Saturday.

The incident happened around 5.20pm on 4 October in the Jubilee Park Road area, shortly after full-time at the Global Energy Stadium.

When officers arrived, the disturbance had ended, but two male youths were found with injuries requiring hospital treatment.

Both were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness and have since been discharged.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the full circumstances and believe the area was busy with supporters at the time.

Early enquiries suggest a group of individuals with their faces covered may have been involved.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant footage, including from mobile phones or dash cams to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Chris Robertson, who is leading the investigation, confirmed officers are liaising with both clubs.

“We know the area was busy with supporters at the time and there are likely to be witnesses to this incident who have yet to speak to police,” he said.

“We’re particularly keen to speak to anyone with information about this group.”

This kind of disorder remains extremely rare at football matches in the Highlands, where clubs, fans and communities are known for supporting their teams in a positive and welcoming spirit.

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2538 of 4 October, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
