Highland Jobs Builds Momentum as Employers Turn to Local Recruitment Platform

Highland Jobs is continuing to grow as more employers and job seekers choose a recruitment platform built specifically for the Highlands and Islands.

The site launched quietly at the end of October and has already seen steady activity across hospitality, logistics, health, construction, education and administration.

Nearly 100 applications have been submitted directly through the platform in the first weeks online.

The aim behind Highland Jobs is straightforward.

To give local employers an affordable and effective way to hire and to make it easier for people across the Highlands to find work close to home.

The platform is free to browse and designed to be clear and uncomplicated for both employers and job seekers.

A single job listing costs £39 for twenty eight days, with multi listing packages available for businesses that hire throughout the year and a Business Bundle subscription for organisations needing unlimited postings.

A Highland Jobs team member said early interest shows a real appetite for a recruitment service rooted in Highland life.

“We’re seeing steady growth from week to week and employers tell us they want somewhere local that understands the region and reaches the right people.

“National boards charge Highland businesses a lot of money for very little return and most of the applicants they attract are nowhere near the Highlands.

“A local jobs platform makes sense for everyone.”

Highland Jobs sits within The Highland Times network, benefiting from the publication’s fast rising audience which now reaches close to 90,000 people a month.

The team say the focus is on keeping things simple and consistent, with more employers choosing the platform as part of their regular recruitment routine.

Another team member said the approach is built for the long term.

“We’re building something steady and useful.

“With employers getting results and people finding work through the site, it’s a win for the Highlands.

“Highland Jobs will naturally become the first place people turn when looking for work across the region.”

The platform covers the full region, including Argyll, the Hebrides, Inverness, Caithness, Sutherland, Skye, Lochaber, Ross shire and right up to Shetland.
