A new Highland music project has officially arrived, with Mild Maniac releasing its debut single today.
Found (The Vandal?) is now available across all major streaming platforms, giving listeners their first opportunity to hear the sound of the electronic, indie and alternative act.
The release marks the first public outing for the project, which describes itself with the simple motto: “No genre. No rules. Just songs in search of a connection.”
While this is the first official single, it is intended as the opening chapter of a broader musical journey, with a debut album expected later this year or in early 2027.
Mild Maniac draws on a wide range of influences, combining electronic textures with melodic songwriting and alternative sounds in an effort to create something that sits outside conventional musical boundaries.
Rather than fitting neatly into a single category, the project aims to appeal to listeners searching for music that is willing to experiment while remaining rooted in strong songs.
For independent artists in the Highlands, digital platforms continue to provide opportunities to reach audiences far beyond the region, allowing new acts to build followings without the backing of major labels.
With Found (The Vandal?) now released, Mild Maniac begins its journey into the public eye and offers a first glimpse of what could become one of the Highlands’ more intriguing independent music projects.
Attention will now turn towards the planned debut album, which promises to expand further on the ideas introduced in the new single.
For music fans looking for something fresh, Found (The Vandal?) is available now on all major streaming services.
