Highlands’ Own Oasis Tribute Band to Launch at An Seomar With a Touch Of Mystery

A brand new Oasis tribute band formed in the Highlands will make its live debut in Inverness on Tuesday 30th of December with a special launch night at An Seomar, with doors opening at 7.30pm.

The band, called Oasness, is being described as a homegrown tribute to one of Britain’s most iconic groups, with a particular focus on the Oasis Live ’25 setlist that reignited fandom across the UK this year.

While the full line up has now been named, there is still an air of mystery surrounding Oasness, as no photos have yet been released, meaning the only way to see who they are, what they look like, and how they sound is to be in the room on the night.

Oasness was founded by Graeme Livingstone and Jim Reade, both long time members of Inverness band In Cahoots and lifelong Oasis fans.

The idea was sparked after the pair attended Oasis Live ’25 at Murrayfield in August, a moment Graeme says changed everything.

“I couldn’t believe it was happening.

“The band that changed everything when I was 16 on the release of Definitely Maybe were back, and they were better than ever.

“I knew we had to do this, and now was the time.

“There have been some great Oasis tributes come to Inverness over the years, but there’s never been one we could call our own.

“Oasness is our attempt at that, a Highland band playing the music many of us grew up with, based right here in Inverness.”

The band is made up of experienced local musicians, with Graeme Livingstone on Liam Gallagher vocals, James Reade on Noel Gallagher lead guitar, Paul Livingstone on Bonehead guitar and Noel backing vocals, Kevin Stott on Andy Bell and Guigsy bass duties, and Jack Nicolson on Alan White drums.

In true Oasis fashion, the group also features brothers, with Graeme and Paul sharing vocal and guitar responsibilities.

“Like Liam and Noel, and most brothers, me and Paul have had our moments over the years,” Graeme joked.

“But having played with him before, me and Jim knew he would be a great fit, and it was a no brainer to ask him.”

Graeme also paid tribute to the rest of the band, describing Jim as one of the most talented musicians he has played with in 20 years, Kevin as a safe pair of hands and a superb bass player, and Jack as the driving force that brought the whole project together.

The launch night is also raising funds for two local charities, Mikeysline and Headspace Highlands.

The band said choosing to support mental health causes was an easy decision, particularly at a time of year that can be difficult for many.

Growing up in the Highlands, the members said they have all been affected by mental health issues in society and wanted their first show to give something back while helping tackle stigma and support life saving work.

Support on the night comes from Verved Unplugged, featuring Mark Savage, frontman of Space Van, performing a special set of Richard Ashcroft and The Verve favourites inspired by the Oasis Live ’25 tour atmosphere.

The band also thanked An Seomar for its support, crediting the venue with helping make the night possible through space, promotion, and backing for both the charities and the band.

Tickets are on sale now priced at £5 plus a small booking fee, with Oasness promising a night of familiar anthems, local pride, and just enough mystery to make the gig unmissable.
