With excitement building ahead of its much-anticipated opening, The Inverness Castle Experience is now recruiting the team that will help bring the stories and spirit of the Highlands to life.
Around 60 new roles are being created across Retail, Food & Beverage and Visitor Services with applications now open to become part of something genuinely special.
More than just a job, this is a chance to help shape the very first visitor experiences at a landmark attraction that promises to tell the stories of the Highlands in bold, imaginative ways.
Set to open later this year, The Inverness Castle Experience is part of the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal, a collaborative £315 million investment from the UK and Scottish governments, The Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the University of the Highlands and Islands.
It’s an ambitious project with a simple goal, to create an experience that feels rooted in place, steeped in history, and full of heart.
Visitor Experience Assistants will be at the centre of it all, whether that’s offering a warm Highland welcome, helping someone choose the perfect keepsake, or serving local produce with care and pride.
“This is an opportunity for people to be part of something truly special,” said Cllr Ian Brown, Leader of Inverness and Area and Co-chair of the Inverness Castle Delivery Group.
“It’s about more than just jobs, it’s about creating genuine Highland hospitality and helping to shape how the world experiences our stories, our culture and our region.”
An hourly rate of £13.64 is on offer, alongside a variety of contracts from full-time to part-time and relief roles plus full training, generous holidays and pension benefits.
The team behind the Experience is looking for individuals who are positive, self-motivated and take real pride in their work.
Someone who communicates well, enjoys helping others, and is eager to share their love of the Highlands will fit right in.
Steve Walsh, Chief Executive of High Life Highland, said:
“These roles offer more than just employment, they offer a chance to be part of something imaginative, exciting and rooted in local pride.”
“We’re building a team that will make sure our visitors receive a magical Highland welcome and enjoy working in a positive, values-based and supportive workplace from the very start.”
Whether it’s your first step into tourism or the next chapter in a lifelong passion for Highland culture, these new roles are a rare chance to join from the beginning and help shape something that will leave a lasting mark on visitors for years to come.
