In a bold celebration of Highland heritage, Inverness Castle Experience has unveiled Seanchaidh, a remarkable Highland Single Malt that weaves our region’s storytelling tradition into every carefully crafted dram.
The Victorian Market in Inverness will become the exclusive sanctuary for whisky enthusiasts this December, as merely 300 numbered bottles of this prestigious spirit seek their rightful homes among discerning collectors.
Masterfully bottled at 40% ABV by the Own Label Company, this distinguished dram showcases the finest Highland craftsmanship, with its youngest malt having matured gracefully for five years alongside its more seasoned companions.
Each golden pour reveals a tapestry of flavours, from sweet Highland barley and creamy vanilla fudge to zesty citrus notes, creating a harmonious symphony that dances upon the palate.
“Within each bottle lies the very essence of Highland storytelling,” proclaims Fergus Ewing MSP, Co-chair of the Inverness Castle Project Delivery Group, whose enthusiasm mirrors the anticipation surrounding this landmark release.
The whisky’s innovative presentation features an ingenious double-sided label, artfully concealing the Castle’s Rose Window within its folds, a design touch that Creative Director David MacGregor describes as “a secret narrative waiting to be discovered.”
Highland comedy legend Rory Bremner recently championed the cause by auctioning a signed bottle at the Highland Business Awards, raising a heartening £600 for the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance.
Sally Robertson, Managing Director of Own Label Company Scotland Ltd, speaks proudly of sourcing this exceptional spirit from an award-winning Highland distillery, ensuring it meets the exacting standards worthy of the Seanchaidh name.
This prestigious release marks a significant milestone in the £30m Inverness Castle Experience project, scheduled to welcome visitors in mid-2025 as part of the ambitious £315m Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal.
As we raise our glasses with a traditional “Slàinte Mhath,” Seanchaidh stands as a testament to our enduring Highland legacy, promising to captivate both devoted whisky enthusiasts and casual appreciators with its remarkable story in every sip.
