Restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars will require to close.

Takeaway can still operate as normal, provided food and drink is sold for consumption off premises.

Only essential retail shops that have been outlined in the Scot Gov guidance – retail can remain open.

Businesses which are allowed to stay open will be expected to follow all other legal requirements, rules and guidance.

Alan Yates, Environmental Health Manager said:

“With the introduction of Level 4 restrictions, it is essential that all businesses take the opportunity to read the Scottish Government guidance and take the necessary steps to comply.

“The guidance clarifies what businesses are permitted to remain open and what steps, if any, must be taken to do so.

“We understand the impact that these restrictions will have on many businesses, however, would urge everyone to adhere to these new restrictions and help tackle Covid 19.”
