After being contacted daily by worried constituents, MP for Inverness, Nairn Badenoch and Strathspey, Drew Hendry, is set to host three drop-in Cost of Living support surgeries in Inverness, Aviemore and Nairn.
Along with other individuals and organisations there to offer practical support,
Mr Hendry will be in on hand to offer advice and support in relation to Parliamentary matters.
Among those due to attend all three of the events are the Highland Council Welfare Support Team, Social Security Scotland, and Home Energy Scotland.
Commenting, Drew Hendry MP said:
“The Cost of Living Crisis is still a huge worry for folk across our communities.
“Every week my inbox is inundated with people desperate for help – many of whom have never been in financial difficulty before.
“Of course, this problem is one made at Westminster by the UK Government, and I will continue to do all in my power to pressure the Tories into doing the right thing.
“But these events are not political in their nature – this is about ensuring that folk get the help that they are entitled to.
“A huge thanks to all who are getting behind the idea and helping out by attending.
“If you, or someone you know, is struggling or just wants some friendly advice for maximising their resources, pop along, no appointment necessary.”
