Lucy Tay Set to Bring Rising Country Sound to Dornoch

Lucy Tay will take to the stage on Friday 17 July at the Dornoch Music Festival, adding one of Scotland’s fastest rising country voices to the weekend line up.

The Bellshill artist has been building real momentum across the UK country scene, blending country and pop into a sound that is reaching audiences far beyond Scotland.

Her growing reputation has seen her perform at major events including Edgefest, where she shared the stage with Nathan Carter and Travis.

She has also appeared at Country 2 Country in Glasgow across 2025 and 2026, alongside performances at Together Again Festival in Chelmsford and Country Calling in London.

Lucy Tay’s rise has been driven by strong live performances and a clear connection with audiences, something that saw her sell out her debut headline show in Glasgow.

Her music, often described as if Amy Macdonald made country music, combines heartfelt lyrics with an upbeat energy that continues to draw in new listeners.

With a growing fanbase and increasing recognition across the UK and beyond, she arrives in Dornoch at a point where everything is starting to come together.

Festival organisers are continuing to build a line up that balances established names with emerging talent, giving audiences the chance to discover artists on the rise.

Lucy Tay’s set on the Friday night is expected to bring energy, warmth and plenty of sing along moments to the festival.

As the countdown to July continues, her appearance adds another strong reason to be in Dornoch when the music starts.
