Man Jailed for 11 Years Over Sexual and Domestic Abuse

A man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison after being convicted of serious sexual and domestic offences committed against two women over a period spanning almost 20 years.

Kenny Dalgleish, 38, was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday 10 July 2026.

He had previously been found guilty at the High Court in Dundee on Friday 5 June.

The offences were committed between 2006 and 2023 in Dundee, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Elgin.

Police Scotland said the offences included rape, assault and threats of violence against two women.

The investigation led to Dalgleish being prosecuted and ultimately convicted of a sustained pattern of sexual and violent abuse.

Sergeant Emma Forbes said:

“Dalgleish subjected two women to years of horrific abuse, causing lasting trauma and having a profound impact on their lives.

“I would like to acknowledge the support provided by both victims throughout the investigation and court process, which has ultimately led to his conviction.

“Violence and abuse of any kind have no place in society and we remain committed to supporting victims and bringing those responsible to justice.

“I would encourage anyone who has experienced sexual abuse or violence to report it to police.

“Every report will be taken seriously and thoroughly investigated.”

Police Scotland continues to encourage anyone affected by sexual abuse or domestic violence to come forward, stressing that reports will be investigated thoroughly and victims will be supported throughout the process.

Anyone affected by the issues raised in this article can contact Police Scotland on 101 or seek support through organisations that assist survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.
