Man Robbed at Knifepoint in Inverness Car Park

A 28 year old man was robbed in the early hours of Sunday 1 March 2026 in a supermarket car park on Tomnahurich Street in Inverness.

The incident happened at around 2.10am when he was approached by three people who took a sum of cash from him.

The group were described as wearing dark clothing with their faces covered.

One of them is believed to have been carrying a knife.

For the man involved, it was a routine moment that turned in seconds.

Police are now trying to trace those responsible and are asking anyone who may have seen something to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Laura MacKay said:

“We are carrying out enquiries to trace those responsible, and I would ask anyone who was in the area at that time and may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.

“Similarly, anyone with private CCTV or doorbell footage or drivers with dash-cam should contact us as you may have captured something that could help our investigation.”

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone with doorbell footage, private CCTV or dash cam recordings from the area around that time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0543 of Sunday 1 March 2026, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
