A new online platform has been launched to give people across Moray a stronger voice in shaping local council decisions and community projects.

Moray Engage is a fresh, easy-to-use website where residents can get involved in consultations, provide feedback and stay informed about what the council is planning and doing.

It is open to everyone living, working or studying in Moray and is designed to make it easier for people to take part in shaping the future of the region.

At the moment, the council is inviting views on two live consultations.

One focuses on proposed 20mph speed limits across Moray, and the other seeks input on the renewal of Linzee Gordon Park in Buckie.

Alongside these consultations, the site also supports ongoing work with tenant groups and the Moray Champions Board, a vital platform for care-experienced young people to influence the decisions that affect their lives.

Moray Engage is all about listening, said Council Leader Kathleen Robertson.

“Moray Engage is a big step forward in how we connect with our communities,” she said.

“It’s about making it easier for people to share their views and help shape the decisions that affect them.”

She added that the site will be updated regularly with new projects and feedback loops, including clear updates on how suggestions are used or why some cannot be taken forward.

“More projects and events will be added regularly, as well as closing the loop of ‘you said, we did’, so residents know exactly the difference they’re making when giving feedback on proposals,” said Cllr Robertson.

“Of course, there will be some suggestions we can’t adopt but we’ll make it clear what we can and can’t do.”

She encouraged everyone to take a look, share their views and become part of the conversation.

“I encourage everyone to take a look and get involved so we can shape Moray together.”

Still to come is a dedicated Citizens Panel, a space where interested residents can register to offer regular feedback on future council plans and policy.

It will be a place for thoughtful, long-term engagement with people who care about Moray’s future.

Whether you want safer streets, improved green spaces or better services, this new platform offers a direct line to the decisions that shape local life.
