The team behind the Loch Ness Marathon, Etape Loch Ness and Inverness Half Marathon has unveiled a new name as it looks towards the next chapter of some of the Highlands’ biggest participation events.
Caledonian Concepts has become Caledonian Group Events from Wednesday 30 September, two years after the business was acquired by London Marathon Events.
The new identity covers the organisation responsible for delivering major participation events across Inverness and the Loch Ness area.
London Marathon Events acquired Caledonian Concepts alongside Loch Ness Marathon Ltd in 2024.
The organisers say the Caledonian Group Events name better reflects the breadth of its activities and ambitions to develop its programme of events across Scotland.
The business will retain the local team and Scottish identity which have been part of the organisation since it was established in 2006.
The change comes just days after a record breaking Loch Ness Marathon weekend brought more than 11,100 participants to the Highlands.
The 2026 event sold out, with runners and visitors arriving from across Scotland, the UK and overseas for a weekend of running events around Inverness and Loch Ness.
Attention is already turning towards next year, with entries for the 2027 Loch Ness Marathon now open.
The next marathon will take place on Sunday 26 September 2027.

The Caledonian Group Events name and branding launches across the organisation’s digital platforms from Wednesday.
While the company name is changing, the familiar events themselves remain at the heart of the operation, including the Loch Ness Marathon, Etape Loch Ness and Inverness Half Marathon.
After a record weekend on the banks of Loch Ness, the new name arrives as the organisers begin building towards another busy year of Highland events.
