A new MRP poll suggests the SNP is on course to win 67 seats at Holyrood, enough for an outright majority at the next Scottish Parliament election.
An MRP poll from The Times/Stonehaven places Labour on 15 seats, behind Reform UK on 25.
The findings follow two polls last week which also suggested the SNP was within reach of a majority, alongside an increase in support for independence.
The SNP says the latest figures show growing momentum behind John Swinney’s leadership ahead of May.
SNP depute leader Keith Brown MSP said:
“This is a landmark poll and shows momentum is firmly with the SNP as Scottish voters unite behind a majority.
“John Swinney’s strong leadership is on Scotland’s side, focussed on Scotland’s priorities, that’s a world away from the chaos and scandal of Westminster.
“While Westminster parties squabble amongst themselves, John Swinney is laser focussed on improving our NHS and offering the best cost of living support package available on these islands.
“The Westminster establishment is in chaos and broken, Brexit Britain is in terminal decline, in May, a fresh start with independence is now there to be won.”
If replicated at the ballot box, the projected result would reshape the balance of power at Holyrood and place the question of Scotland’s constitutional future firmly back at the centre of national politics.
