New ‘Winter Fire Retreat’ Lights Up January in The Far North Scottish Highlands

Must read

A new ‘Winter Fire Retreat’ is being launched in the far north Scottish Highlands this January to help visitors bring in the new year with a renewed focus on health and happiness.

Vitality is a Caithness-based wellbeing practice which supports individuals, groups and organisations to manage stress, build resilience and prevent burnout.

Their award-winning day and residential retreats run throughout the year and include yoga, meditation, nature walks, mindful crafts, locally-sourced food and total relaxation in locations throughout the North Highlands.

The new ‘Winter Fire Retreat’ is based in Forse House, a beautiful, historic mansion set amongst 24 acres of Caithness countryside – the ‘land beyond the Highlands’ with its infinite skies, breath-taking wild landscapes and complete peace.

The ‘Winter Fire Retreat’ is an opportunity to literally set fire to all difficult aspects of 2022 and welcome in the new year with Vitality’s legendary fire ceremony, which sees tunnels of light, marshmallows round the firepit and mystical flames.

The new for 2023 ‘Winter Fire Retreat’ includes Zen yoga, bedtime yoga nidra sessions, morning meditation, woodland walks, and is the perfect time of year to see the Northern Lights.

Donna Booth, owner of Vitality is also a member of Venture North, the destination management organisation that promotes responsible tourism in the far north Scottish Highlands.

She said:

“Caithness really is the ‘land beyond the Highlands’ with its infinite skies, breath-taking wild landscapes and complete peace, so it’s the perfect environment for people to revitalise, reconnect with nature and take care of their wellbeing.

“Our new ‘Winter Fire Retreat’ allows guests to literally set fire to all difficult aspects of 2022 and welcome in the new year with Vitality’s legendary fire ceremony, all set amongst 24 acres of Caithness countryside at the historic Forse House.

“One of the main things we do in the winter fire retreat is create vision boards and choose a word of the year for the coming year to encourage people to renew their focus on health and happiness.”

The all-inclusive ‘Winter Fire Retreat’ at Forse of Nature is £399 per person for two nights, including dinner, B&B and all wellbeing sessions, yoga, meditation, crafts, guided walks and a regular supply of coffee and cake.

Vitality runs regular retreats at Forse of Nature, as well as bespoke retreats for groups.

They will be introducing new luxury retreats at a very special North Highland venue in May and September 2023.
