On The Move With New Mobility Hub

A Mobility Hub, the first of its kind in the Highlands, is now providing a seamless interchange between different modes of transport, making it easier for people to use public transport to travel in and around the city of Inverness.

As well as providing bus links, Torvean Mobility Hub also offers bike, motorcycle, motorhome, car and coach parking, a bus stop/shelter and a public transport information display with real time capability.

Now the hub has opened,  EV charging, and an E-Bike hub & Bikes (HI-BIKE) will be on site soon.

Torvean Mobility Hub is part funded by Transport Scotland’s Bus Partnership Fund and facilitated by all partners of the Highland Bus Service Improvement Partnership including Highland Council, HITRANS and Stagecoach.

The aim is to offer people an alternative choice to using a private car for all or part of their journey.

The location of the Hub makes it particularly well-suited for those travelling from the south and west of Inverness.

Timetable Overview

Scottish Citylink will be serving Torvean Mobility Hub with Services 917 (Inverness to Skye) and 919 (Inverness to Fort William).

Service 917 operates up to 4 times each day, and Service 919 up to 10 times each day.

The services will connect at the site with local Stagecoach services, allowing passengers from the west of Inverness to interchange without travelling into the City Centre, and also allow people of park or dropped off at the site to travel west on our services.

Service 2 will operate up to every 30 minutes during the daytime Monday to Saturday, linking the Torvean Hub with the City Centre, Raigmore Hospital, Inshes Shopping Park and UHI.

Services Monday to Saturday will start shortly after 0600 and continue until around 1830.

Sunday Services will operate up to hourly between Torvean and the City Centre.

Special return fares will apply for travel between Torvean and the City Centre.

Day and weekly tickets are also available to allow onward travel to other destinations from the City Centre.

The frequency between the City Centre and Torvean will be enhanced to up to every 15 minutes during the daytime Monday to Saturday from mid-August.
